Oak Forest HS Baking Basics Class Competes in Cupcake Wars

Baking Basics students collaborated on designs, recipes, and colors for their entry into Cupcake Wars

Oak Forest High School Seniors Justin McCarthy, Shaun Louis, Alexander Fitzgerald, and Sarahe Rios recently competed in the District 228 Cupcake Wars at Bremen High School. According to Oak Forest High School Baking Basics teacher Vicky Vogel, students had the challenge of using ingredients measured correctly and creating an icing “that would enchant your appetite.” Students added the special ingredients of sour cream and butter for the delicious, creamy taste. The cupcakes were decorated to resemble a sugar cookie spring delight. Congratulations OF Bakers!
