Oak Forest HS Band & Choral Programs Have Huge Success at State Competition
The Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Concert Choir received Division One ratings
Congratulations to the Oak Forest High School Concert Band and Symphonic Band, both who received Division I ratings at the state competition, held at Tinley Park High School on April 22. Band Director Nick Rojek said, “I had really challenged the students this year with the most technically and musically demanding selections I have ever assigned for this festival. The students worked tirelessly throughout the past few months and the results were quite phenomenal!”
Also, the Oak Forest High concert choir produced perfect melody and harmony at the state competition. Choral Director Victor Pazik announced that both the Oak Forest Concert Choir and the Senior Treble Choir did exceptionally well at the competition last weekend. Both choirs earned straight Division I ratings across the board with some of the highest scores of the day, according to Pazik, In addition, The Oak Forest Concert Choir received the highest honor of the day by receiving the award“The Best Choir of the Day.”
