Oak Forest HS BPA Students Qualify for State
Twenty-eight BPA students will compete in 51 events at State competition
Oak Forest High School Business Professionals of America Sponsor Connie McSweeney announced that Oak Forest High School BPA qualified a large number of students for State competition. The students who competed brought Oak Forest 16 First Place medals and 13 Second Place medals; 28 students qualified for State in 51 events and will go on to compete at the State level in February.
Here is a listing of the BPA class achievements (listed alphabetically): Tameyah Akins took 4th place in Basic Office Systems and Procedures; Abigail Anderson took 1st place in the Video Production Team; Jodi Bushnell-Aleman placed 3rd in Advanced World Processing Skills, 4th in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures, 5th in Administrative Support Concepts, and 1st in Management, Marketing and Human Resources; Sarah Crawford scored 2nd in both Video Production Team and Digital Media Production; Kaitlyn Crnich scored 2nd in Video Production Team; Jessica Freudinger scored 1st in the Video Production Team and 2nd in Keyboarding; Marilyn Gasienica scored 3rd in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures, 4th in Advanced Word Processing, 4th in Personal Finance Management, 2nd in Administrative Support Concepts, and 4th in Management, Marketing and Human Resources; Jordan Grzegorski got 4th place in Fundamental Word Processing; Mireya Guitierrez scored a 1st in both Advanced Office Systems and Procedures and Advanced Word Processing; Hadeel Hasan scored 1st place in Banking and Finance; Claire Holewa scored 1st in Fundamental Spreadsheet and 5th in Fundamental Word Processing; Rebecca Howe scored 2nd place in both Fundamental Word Processing and Fundamental Spreadsheet; Alex Lambros scored 1st in Computer Animation Team and 2nd Desktop Publishing; Ana Lambros scored 1st in Video Production Team; Stefanie Leavy scored 2nd in both Advanced Word Processing Skills and Basic Office Systems and Procedures as well as 4th in Administrative Support Concepts; Rebecca McGrail scored 1st in Advanced Spreadsheet, 2nd in Personal Finance Management, and 4th in Keyboarding Production; Brandy Pace scored 3rd in Advanced Interview Skills; Malorie Para scored 1st in Computer Animation Team and 3rd in Business Meeting Management; Victoria Rice scored 3rd in Fundamentals of Web Design; Miguel Rios scored 1st in Computer Security Concepts and 3rd in JAVA; Renee Rosko scored 3rd in Basic Office Systems and Procedures; Lindsey Ryon scored 2nd in both Advanced Office Systems and Procedures and Advanced Word; Jose Sanchez scored 5th in Keyboarding Production; Jessica Sandoval scored 1st in Extemporaneous Speech, Payroll Accounting, Computer Programming Concepts and a 3rd in Management, Marketing and Human Resources; Elijah Solis scored 2nd in Computer Security Concepts and 5th in Fundamentals of Web Design; and Alissa Tattas scored 3rd in Legal Office Procedures.
