Oak Forest HS BPA Students Win Awards at National Competition

Hannah McMaster, Kaitlyn Alejandro, and Brianna Mitchell, each took home a medal at BPA Nationals

Congratulations to Oak Forest High School Senior Hannah McMaster, Junior Kaitlyn Alejandro, and Senior Brianna Mitchell, who each took home a national medal at the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Grapevine, Texas. “I am proud to announce that we brought home three medals,” said BPA Sponsor Connie McSweeney. The students not only brought home medals, they competed spectacularly against their rivals from all over the nation.

Kaitlyn took 2nd Place in the nation in Basic Office Systems and Procedures, Hannah took 2nd Place in the nation in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures, and Brianna took 4th Place in the nation in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures. This is the second year in a row that Oak Forest High School BPA students have brought back national medals.

Mrs. McSweeney said, “This is an amazing accomplishment and I am really proud of all of their hard work! What a great way to end the year, especially for Seniors Hannah and Brianna!”
