Oak Forest HS Celebrates College Application Month
Seniors received hands-on assistance to complete college applications

Oak Forest High School Project Manager Megan Couture and Oak Forest College and Career Counselor Jen Ambrose awarded prizes to Alexander Fitzgerald, Amir Al-Sheikh, Samuel Eson, and Melissa Alamillo to celebrate Illinois College Application Month. During this month, seniors received hands-on assistance from their counselors as well as the Illinois Student Assistance volunteer. The goal was for each student to complete at least one college application during the month. Through the College Application Month program, all senior students completed their Senior Interview, had the opportunity to attend to financial aid evenings; one informational and the other a line-by-line workshop, answer college trivia, and be a guest for the Friday announcements and the special ROAR (Respect, Organization, Academics, and Responsibility) event. If they completed these events, they were entered into the raffle.
The College Application Month activities were exciting events that allowed OFHS Seniors to take the next step in reaching their educational and career goals.
