Team placed first at Sectionals to earn at spot at State competition

The Oak Forest High School Varsity Cheer Team is headed to State this weekend in Bloomington, along with fellow district schools Tinley Park and Bremen. The OF Cheer Team made a strong showing at Sectionals on January 30, earning 1st place with a strong score of 93.23. Assistant Coach Caitlin DiVenti said, “The girls did really well and kept their composure. I expect them to do well this weekend. They are well prepared.” Going to State this weekend are OF Cheer Team members: (first row, l to r): Sage Flassig, Nicole Neri, Maddie Barthelt, Cassie Larsen, Emily Killacky, (second row l to r): Head Coach Christine DiVenti, Nicole Tucker, Kylie Deske, Clarissa Wolf, Irina Topchyi, Erin Moore, Jessica Boger, (third row, l to r): Assistant Coach Haley DiVenti, Zoe Rios, Taylor Cortese, Elise Zolna, Sandy Florczyk, Rebecca Hagadus, Charlotte Peloquin, Madison Miller, and Assistant Coach Caitlin DiVenti.
