Oak Forest HS Choral Program Delighted Audiences at Fall Concert
Five choirs performed at the concert

The Oak Forest High School Choral program delighted audiences at their fall concert, held October 21 in the School Cafetorium. Five choirs performed for friends and family, according to OFHS Choral Director Victor Pazik. Those choirs were VoSho, the Senior Treble, the Madrigal Choir, the Concert Choir, and the Cadet Choir.
The concert started with VoSho and two numbers: “Gimme Some Lovin’” arranged by Alan Billingsley, and “I’ll Stand By You” by the Pretenders. Members of VoSho are: Sopranos Kynidy Browder, Cassidy Burns, Kinsey Carrera, Breanna Jozaitis, Emily Marcheschi, Kylie Mikunas, and Jianna Parel; Altos Delaney Barnes, Marissa Coates, Breanna Horvath, Sophia Horvath, Alyssa Ryan, and Sherelyn Saceda; Baritones Lucas Burian and Gery Longino. Gery Longino soloed in “I’ll Stand by You.”
The Madrigal’s Ladies in Waiting Choir made an appearance next with “Ave Maria” by Vittoria. The Ladies in Waiting Choir are: Soprano 1's Annais Gangolf, Alyssa Ryan and Alyssa Pacella, Soprano II's Emma Davidson, Shea Scott and Alexis Taylor, and Altos: Madyson Brown, Olivia Lugo and Kylie Soderlund.

The Madrigal Choir sang selections from their upcoming Madrigal Dinner, to be held December 3 and 4. The members of the choir are Sopranos Kinsey Carerra, Cassie Greenhill, Ema Kester, Jianna Parel, Amelia Sorenson and Shaina Spinks, Altos Sarah Boblink, Emily Hendzel, Millie McMahon and Sherelyn Saceda,Tenors Griffin Boger, Tessa Damien, Jackie Griffin and Antwhan Rice, and Basses Bill Altier, Nate McGovern, Jeremiah Pondexter, and Jeff Willeford.
The Cadet Choir sang “Jubilate Deo!” by Greg Gilpin and “No Day But Today” by Mark Brymer. The members of the Cadet Choir are: Sopranos Amani Abdo El Shahid, Paola Delgadillo-Lopez, Molly Kiley, Madalynn McErlean, Alyssa Pacella and Alexis Taylor; Altos Madeline Crosetto, Olivia Lugo, Shealyn Scott, Mikayla Silva, Emily Tibbet, Anna Triezenberg and Jennifer Wimmer; and Baritones Antwhan Rice and Jeff Willeford.

The Senior Treble Choir sang “Movin’ On” by Raymond Hannisian. Soloists were Emma Davidson, Alyssa Ryan, and Shaina Spinks. Gabbie Rona played a flute solo and Tessa Damien accompanied on piano. They also sang “Poor Man Lazarus” by Jester Hairston. Members of the Choir are: Soprano 1's Anna Caldwell, Rachel Greenhill, Myriam Melidona, Alexus Mulcahy, Alyssa Ryan and Shaina Spinks, Soprano II's Emma Davison, Zaria Gultney, Jordan Jones, Taylor Stritzel and Brady Wyszynski, Alto I's Olivia Earl, Hailey Esparza, Hayleigh Kemnic and Jamie Mack, and Alto II's Sarah Boblink, Madyson Brown and Kylie Soderlund.
The Concert Choir performed next with “The Awakening” by Joseph Martin and “Dubala” by Stephen Hatfield. Choir members are: Sopranos Amanda Blasco, Kristina Bowers, Kinsey Carrera, Camille Glenn, Cassie Greenhill, Brooke Leach, Breanna Morrissey, Jianna Parel, Samantha Pelligrino, Brianna Ryan, Amelia Sorenson, Shaina Spinks and Taylor Szkolny, Altos Delaney Barnes, Evelyn Brown, Emily Hendzel, Erica Hennessy, Jessica Hernandez, Brittney Hostutler, Millie McMahon, Crystal Montes, Ortensia Ontiveros, Sherelyn Saceda, Magdalene Smith-Stephney and Kayla Stawoney, Tenors Griffin Boger, Chris Dantis, Jackie Griffin and Chris Jackowiak, and Basses Lucas Burian, Blake Gliwa, Tyler Pajic, Jeremiah Pondexter, Jose Rios and John Williams.
Mr. Pazik ended the evening with a triumphant combined choir number from Prince of Egypt “One Day More” by Stephen Schwartz, Arranged by Aurey Snyder. Soloists were Kinsey Carrera, Griffin Boger, Cassidy Burns and Camille Glenn.
The Choral Program will be performing for the community again on December 3 at the Oak Forest Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Madrigals have their annual Madrigal Feast on December 3 and 4. The Music Department Holiday Concert will be held on December 14 at 5 pm.
