Oak Forest HS Faculty Spotlight on Mr. Neal Zoellick

Mr. Zoellick is a first year teacher at OFHS

Mr. Neal Zoellick has joined the Oak Forest High School faculty this year to teach English Language Biology, EL Chemistry, EL Integrated Physics, and Chemistry. His guiding quote is, "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. (Albert Einstein).

Zoellick graduated with a B.S. Degree in Science and attended Gannon University in 2013 and National Louis University in 2016. He is a first year teacher this year. Zoellick said the best part of teaching is “being able to see the kids I teach get interested in the material and getting those ‘A-ha!’ moments!” A window into what Mr. Zoellick likes is provided by finding out what book he read last. The last book he read was the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Prior to becoming a teacher, Zoellick spent time substitute teaching at H-F High School. He also has been a lifeguard and a campus tour guide at Gannon University. Outside of school, Zoellick likes to watch lots of Premier League Soccer, maintain positive relationships and just stay active.
