Oak Forest HS Freshmen Learn to be Leaders

Students attended a leadership workshop at Iron Oaks

Oak Forest High School Freshmen attended a freshman leadership workshop at Irons Oaks in Olympia Fields, where they challenged themselves in various leadership exercises in order to learn team building.

Oak Forest High School Freshman Karly Moss said, “We had to do various games like the spaceship activity. This is where participants have a piece of wood which others lay end over end in front of a person as they walk the line.” Other games they played were the trust fall. Moss said, “It taught us about helping each other out and how leaders should give specific directions.”

Oak Forest High School Freshman Class Sponsor Ms. Lynn Galloway thought the activity went really well and is looking forward to working with the freshman class this year. “They did a great job and it seems like we have an excellent group of freshman this year,” she said.
