Oak Forest HS Girls' Track Starts Out with a Bang at Exclusive Event

Oak Forest High School students Lynette Latocha and Alex Lambros were invited to compete in an exclusive track meet last weekend and started their season out with a bang. The event was the 2015 Illinois Top Times Indoor Championships. Latocha and Lambros were invited to this exclusive event by finishing in the top 12 Indoor performances in the State. The only freshman that competed in this event, Latocha competed in the High Jump, jumping 5’3” and placing sixth overall. Also, she also tied the school record for high jump. Lambros competed in the triple jump, placing fifth overall. Lambros broke her own school record with a jump of 35’ 7.25”. According to Girls’ Track Coach Scott Priestman, “Both girls should continue to break their own school records over the course of this year.” Great start, girls!
