Oak Forest High School wrapped up a successful Homecoming Week during Sept. 22-27. The theme for this week was “Toon into Homecoming.”
The Homecoming Queen Sarah Wazny and King Billy Hults were crowned at the assembly and began their reign during the half-time show at the Homecoming game. They were also crowned again during the Homecoming Dance on September 27, in front of a sell-out crowd of over 800 students who celebrated the evening with the Royal Court.
Various classes won Spirit Awards during the week. The Senior class won the Spirit Cup for the best hall decorations, and the Freshman class won the Spirit Stick for showing the most spirit by participating in the Homecoming festivities and supporting their team.

Various people and classes won competitions as well. The Senior-Freshman team won the PowderPuff game. The Rugrat games at the Homecoming Assembly had many winners: students Nick Garcia, Charles Lynch and Sam McFall and faculty members Gary Andruch, Jim Matlon and Maureen Miller.
Oak Forest residents and students alike enjoyed the Homecoming Motorcade. The First Place winner was the Girls’ Volleyball Team, Second Place was the Girls’ Tennis Team, and Third Place were the Poms. Finally, the Bengal Football Varsity Team won against the TF North Meteors 38-34. After the game, fans enjoyed fireworks from the Malecky Mad Bombers.
