Oak Forest HS Hosts 8th Annual Entrepreneurship Trade Show
Students demonstrate mastery of communication skills, developing, and presenting a business plan
For the past eight years, Business Teacher Mr. Jim Matlon has been hosting an Entrepreneurship Trade Show at Oak Forest High School. Students in Mr. Matlon's entrepreneurship classes plan and prepare business plans for various companies and organizations. They then present their plan and practice communication skills at the Trade Show each year.
Students and staff members from across the school are invited to the school library throughout the day to view trade show business plans and vote on which plan they believe is the most convincing.
This year, roughly 60 students presented their business plans at the show. They represented various companies such as Nike, Dunkin’, Hollister, Walt Disney, Netflix, Apple, Bath & Body, and more.
