Oak Forest HS Hosts Police Training Exercise

School and Police work together for the safety and security of students

Oak Forest High School hosted a police training exercise for all police shifts on October 10. The students were not in attendance due to a Teacher Institute Day. This training exercise is an example of how well the high school works with our local Oak Forest Police Department. Police personnel trained on rapid response and crisis scenarios in all of the academic areas and some of the athletic areas in the school. The training was a result of a planning meeting between the Oak Forest High School Administration and Deputy Chiefs Dominic D’Ambrosio and Tim Kristin of the Oak Forest Police Department.

Oak Forest High School Associate Principal Dan Dunne said, “The safety and security of our students and staff is always a top priority and this training exercise provided an opportunity for the Oak Forest Police Department to become very familiar with our school in case of an emergency situation.”
