Oak Forest HS Joins Forces with Oak Forest Fire Department in Cadet Program

Oak Forest Assistant Fire Chief Charlie Sopko presents the Fire Cadet program to interested students in the two work programs at Oak Forest High School.  The Fire Cadet program was offered at the high school several years ago,  but is now being reintroduced to students.

BPA (Business Professionals of America) and FCCLA (Family, Career & Community Leaders of America) students learned about the daily life of Oak Forest Fire Department members, how to apply for the program, and what the program could offer the students.  BPA is taught by teacher Connie McSweeney and FCCLA is taught by teacher Kristina Dace.
