Oak Forest HS Senior Wins Abe Lincoln Award Reading Contest
Ben Francoeur won the raffle for a contest called 'Read a Lincoln: Win a Lincoln'

Oak Forest High School Librarian Eileen Niedoborski presents Senior Ben Francoeur with the prize for the first raffle on the Abe Lincoln Award Reading Contest called “Read a Lincoln: Win a Lincoln.” According to the Illinois School Library Media Association (ISLMA) website, "The award is named for Abraham Lincoln, one of Illinois' most famous residents and himself an avid reader and noted author." The Illinois School Library Media Association (ISLMA) sponsors the award. The Lincoln Award is designed to encourage teens to read for personal satisfaction and become familiar with authors of young adult and adult books. Students can win prizes for reading books off of the 2018 Lincoln Award: Illinois Teen Reader’s Choice List sponsored by the Illinois School Library Media Association. Ben won the award for reading the novel, Nimona, by Noelle Stevenson. Congrats, Ben!
