Oak Forest HS Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

Eight athletes will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level

Congratulations to Oak Forest High School Seniors Nick Czeszewski, David Nuskiewicz, Alyssa Gilman, Nick Graziano, Taylor Sterkowitz, Michael Murray, Myles Walton, and Troy Hagadus who recently signed letters of intent to play sports during college. Nick Czeszewski signed to play football for St. Xavier University. While working as a wide receiver on the football team under Coach Mike Feminis, Nick will be taking general education classes. Nick is the son of Ken and Dawn Czeszewski of Oak Forest. David Nuskiewicz signed to play soccer at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He will be playing as a midfield under Coach Mobley. While there, he will be studying for a business degree. David is the son of Elizabeth and Joseph Nuskiewicz of Oak Forest. Alyssa Gilman signed to play forward in the soccer program at St. Xavier University. She will be studying for her nursing degree while working under Coach Evan Strehlau. Alyssa is the daughter of Gigi Rozum, Bradley Gilman, Patti Gilman, and Rick Rozum of Oak Forest. Nick Graziano signed to wrestle for the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. While working for Coach Wharton, Nick will be studying for a Biology degree. Nick is the son of Bill and Ann Graziano of Midlothian. Taylor Sterkowitz signed to play both softball and basketball for Roosevelt University. She will be playing first base in softball for Coach Amanda Scott and center on the basketball team for Coach Kiesha Newell. She plans to major in education. Taylor is the daughter of John and Pam Sterkowitz of Oak Forest. Michael Murray signed to play football at Millikin University. He will be an offensive lineman and working for Coach Dan Gritti. He plans to major in business. Michael is the son of Michael Murray of Oak Forest. Myles Walton signed to play football at Benedictine University. He will be working as a defensive back for Coach Sears. He will be taking general education courses while playing on the team. Myles is the son of Michelle and David Walton of Crestwood. Troy Hagadus signed to play both football and baseball at Benedictine University. He will be working as a corner back in football and as a catcher in baseball for Coach Sears. He plans to major in accounting while at Benedictine. Troy is the son of Rose and Jim Hagadus of Oak Forest. Principal Sikora, A.D. Ron Towner, and Asst. A.D. Jake Thormeyer were on hand to congratulate each student. Coaches Brian McDonough (football), Shawn Forst (wrestling), Bob Bohaczyk (wrestling), Ron Czarnecki (baseball), Katy Dammer (softball), Kieran Byrne (soccer), Hannah Shehaiber (soccer) were also present to witness the occasion.
