Oak Forest HS Sponsoring Clothing Drive

The Business Professionals of America students team up with Together We Cope

Oak Forest High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) students are collecting clothing for families in need this winter. BPA Officers Taylor Ferralez (Historian), Payton Giuseffi (Treasurer), Magdalene Smith-Stephney (President), Hanny McMaster (Vice-President), and Brianna Mitchell (Secretary) display some of the clothing that the BPA class has already collected for this project.

Smith-Stephney said, “We thought it was perfect timing as our weather is going to change and we wanted to do something for our community, so we teamed up with Together We Cope and decided to collect clothing for members of our community. When we have finished, we are going to bring it to them.” Mitchell said, “We do several service projects a year. After our first BPA competition in January, we are going to Feed My Starving Children to work there.”

BPA is sponsored by Ms. Connie McSweeney. McSweeney said, “Magdalene [Smith-Stephney] thought of this service project for BPA.”
