Oak Forest HS Student's Artwork Named 'Best in High School'
South Suburban Conference Regional High School Art Exhibit
Oak Forest High School senior Jackie Villareal’s artwork was named “Best in High School” recently at the SSC Regional High School Art Student Exhibit. Villareal had an interesting inspiration for her piece. She said, “It is psychology-based and based on personality disorders. Another face is coming through, almost like a multiple personality disorder.” Jackie enjoyed AP Psychology class last year and some of the lessons have stuck with her. “This year in AP Art, the concentration theme I chose is psychology, which I learned last year in AP Psychology. I got to thinking about disorders and did this piece,” she said.
“You can put emotions into your pieces and visually represent your thoughts.” Villareal enjoys expressing herself through her artwork.
