Oak Forest HS Students Attend Seminar about Violence
Guest speakers who have dealt with violence tell their stories

Oak Forest High School FCCLA (Family, Career & Community Leaders of America) students attended a seminar at Tinley Park High School about different types of violence. In this seminar, they heard from three guest speakers who have dealt with violence in one way or another. Guest speakers were Susan Brauer who has been a victim of domestic violence, Otis Lane and Maurice Johnson who were involved in gang violence, and Ryan Gulli who is a Midlothian police officer and deals with violence on a regular basis on the streets. Students created posters about what “Stop the Violence” means to them.
