Oak Forest HS Students Perform at Thunderbolts Game
The band and choir entertained the crowd at the August 17 Windy City Thunderbolts game
The crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd were in the ears of the Oak Forest High School Fine Arts Department's students and staff as they performed at the Windy City Thunderbolts baseball game on August 17. Both the OFHS Marching Band and Choir students participated in this exciting opportunity to showcase their amazing talent. The Choir students, led by Director Victor Pazik, performed the “National Anthem” for the hushed and respectful packed stadium crowd before the game. The Marching Band students then entertained the crowd with selections from their upcoming 2017 marching season, "Black and Gold.” Band Director Nicholas Rojek said, "This year we have put together a show to celebrate the great traditions at Oak Forest High School, both the old and the new. The band will be playing Back in Black by AC/DC and 24K Magic by Bruno Mars." The Windy City Thunderbolts are a professional minor league baseball team located in Crestwood.
