Oak Forest HS Students Selected for ILMEA Honors Band

Gabbie Rona, Kinsey Carrera and Jianna Parel will represent OFHS

Oak Forest High School students Gabbie Rona, Kinsey Carrera and Jianna Parel were selected to represent OFHS in the ILMEA District 1 Honors Band and Concert Choirs. Senior Jianna Parel and Sophomore Kinsey Carrera were selected to sign in the ILMEA Concert Choir. Both students are in the OFHS ensemble VoShow and in the Concert Choir and are directed by choral music teacher Victor Pazik. Freshman Gabbie Rona was selected to play her flute in the Honors Band. Gabbie is directed by band director Nick Rojek. Each year there are approximately 2,500 students that audition for only 100 spots in band and 200 spots for choir. Congratulations girls; what an honor to be selected!
