Oak Forest HS Swimming Students Learn "Help and Huddle"

Omar Castillo, Morgan Anderson, Michael Coppolillo, Hallee Usterbowski, Stephanie Kramer and Jason Pacella learned to “help and huddle” as a part of their Freshman swimming unit, taught by Oak Forest High School teacher Katie Campbell.  In class, students simulated being aboard a sinking ship and enacted the safety techniques they would use in such an incident.  Those safety techniques were to put on life jackets, huddle together and form a human chain until they are rescued.  In this photo, students have successfully gotten into their life jackets in the water and are simulating huddling together until help arrives.
