On May 16 the Oak Forest High School Thespian Society inducted 11 new members into the Oak Forest High School Thespian Troupe #2112 and elected the officers for the next school year. The ceremony was officiated by OFHS Drama Director John Stevens and OFHS Thespian President Alex Joritz. The officers elected are members that have served in the Thespian Society for a year or more. The new officers for the 2016-2017 year are: Shaina Spinks, Jessica Weaver, Ronan Morrissey, and Tessa Damien. They are joined by new members: (back row, l to r): Billy Altier, Delaney Barnes, Kinsey Carrera, Gery Longino, and Stephen Parker. (Front row, l to r): Jackie Griffin, Ema Kester, Emily Marcheschi, and Sherelyn Saceda. Tyler Baker and Camille Glenn are not pictured. A Meritorious Honorary Thespian Award was given to retiring OFHS administrator Dr. Savka Mladenovich, for being an avid supporter of fine arts.
The International Thespian Society is a dramatic honor society for students who participate in drama, stage crew, or in pit band. Students accrue points per show and when they earn ten points they are invited to join the society.
