Oak Forest HS Varsity Pom Dance Team Wins Sectionals

Team advances to IHSA Competitive Dance Competition in Bloomington

The Oak Forest High School Varsity Pom Dance Team won their first Sectional Championship on Saturday at Andrew High School and brought the first place Sectional Championship Plaque home to OFHS. The OFHS Varsity Pom Dance Team won with a score of 93.13, the second highest score in the entire 2A division statewide.

Winning sectional competition qualifies the OFHS Varsity Pom Dance Team to compete for the Illinois High School Association’s Competitive Dance Series in Bloomington, IL. This is the fourth year that the OFHS Varsity Pom Dance Team has qualified for this event, placing 7th in the event last year.

The Team competes this Friday January 29 in prelims and, if their scores are high enough, they will also compete Saturday in the Final round.
