Oak Forest HS World Language National Honor Society Induction

Oak Forest High School recently inducted 31 members into the World Language National Honor Society. Oak Forest High School World Language National Honor Society Sponsor Amanda Brown and teacher Suzanne McKeigue officiated.

The World Language National Honor Society is comprised of two world language honor societies at Oak Forest High School: the Société Honoraire de Français, and the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica. Students earn entrance into the World Language National Honor Society by completing four semesters of French or Spanish, holding a cumulative A- average or higher for French/Spanish work, including the grading period of candidacy, and a B- average in all other subjects. Members must be current students actively engaged in the study of French or Spanish.

District 228 World Language Supervisor Maureen Miller welcomed the candidates and their families to the ceremony. Then, Oak Forest High School students led the candle-lighting ceremony and the pledge. For the Société Honoraire de Français, both Madelin Spagnola and Katherine Scheidt led the ceremonies. For the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, Kristin Olejnik, Jasmine Lopez, and Adriana Muniz led the ceremonies.

Inductees for the Société Honoraire de Français are: Savannah Rose Doyle, Kerri Fitzgibbons, Alyssa Gilman, Gretchen Nicole Hedke, Paige Hines, Marley Majetic, Khayla Elexis Roberts, Katherine Scheidt, and Madelin Spagnola.

Inductees for the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica are: Amanda Beall, Haley Diann Bonior, Nicole Borosak, Alexis Buben, Jack Cervantes, Micah Bain Furstenau, Madison Hamrin, Benita Joseph, Omari Judkins, Jasmine Lopez, Jillian Moss, Adriana Muniz, Tess Novick, Martin O’Connell, Daniel O’Farrell, Kristin E. Olejnik, Elizabeth Ramirez, Madeline Ramirez, Madelin Spagnola, Casey Wolff, and Anastasia S. Zubek.
