Oak Forest HS World Language Students Reap Rewards for Hard Work
Spanish and French language students were treated to lunch

Oak Forest High School Juniors Iryna Topchyi and Kelsey Kolecki, both in Spanish IV Honors, display their cute “Hola!” cookies that adorned each plate at the World Language Luncheon. The French students enjoyed a “Bonjour!” cookie. Maria Arellano, the World Language Honor Society Coordinator, organized a luncheon to thank the students for their hard work and intensive study in their world language courses this year. She said, “Your world language teachers wanted to thank you for working so hard in your language classes.” Students enjoyed a special raffle for prizes and picking up their World Language Honor Society t-shirts. And, of course, they enjoyed the pizza and cookies as well! Oak Forest High School World Language teachers Maria Arellano, Danica Mathis, Michael Blakley, and Suzanne Lappe were on hand to congratulate students as were special guests, District 228 World Language Supervisor Maureen Miller and Oak Forest High School Assistant Principal Jane Dempsey.
