Oak Forest HS's Hoop and Matthews Sign Letters of Intent
Paxton Hoop signed to play softball for Ave Maria University and Yasmine Matthews signed to play soccer for St. Xavier University

Oak Forest High School Seniors Paxton Hoop and Yasmine Matthews recently signed letters of intent to play collegiate sports at universities throughout the United States. Assistant Athletic Director Mike Brown and Athletic Director Ron Towner were there to support the athletes as they start to transition and focus on their collegiate playing career. Paxton Hoop signed to play softball for Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, Florida. She is going to either catch or play 3rd base for her college coach, John Kelly. While she is working hard on the softball team, she will be studying for a nursing degree. Paxton is the daughter of Jeanette Beck and Tony Hoop of Oak Forest. Yasmine Matthews signed to play soccer for St. Xavier University. She will be playing the position of forward or center/mid for Coach Evan Strehlau. Yasmine will also be studying nursing while she is playing soccer at St. Xavier University. She is the daughter of Christie and Brian Matthews of Oak Forest.
