Oak Forest HS's Maurer Headed to Bowling Sectionals

Bailey Maurer will compete this weekend at the IHSA Sectional Girls' Bowling Tournament

Oak Forest High School Junior Bailey Maurer is headed to the Joliet West IHSA Sectional Girls’ Bowling Tournament this weekend after finishing 9th at the Regional Girls’ Bowling Tournament hosted by Bremen High School on February 6. “I am looking forward to the experience,” Maurer said. Maurer, a Varsity Bowler, said that she has bowled an average of 151 per game, which is pretty good. Head Girls’ Bowling Coach Katie Campbell said, “Bailey’s strengths as a player is that she has worked hard in the off-season to improve her game. She is one of the top bowlers on the team, a team leader and is excellent at picking up spares. She’s really studied the game over the last couple of years and has improved so much since she started bowling her freshmen year.”
