There is a dangerous new cat in town. Driving by Oak Forest High School on Central Avenue, one might have the feeling that you are being watched - and you are. Oak Forest High School has installed a new mascot on their Instructional Materials Center windows: a Bengal tiger’s eyes. The eyes watch over everyone coming in and out of the parking lot and keep sentry over the proud Bengals within the building.
The Oak Forest High School Student Council is the mastermind behind the new face of Oak Forest High School, according to Student Council Advisor Amy Bertrand. “It is a gift from Student Council to the school,” Bertrand said. “We wanted to do something that promoted school spirit.”
Student Council Advisor Amy Bertrand, President Jillian Moss, Vice-President Jenna Beardsley, Treasurer Caitlyn Jerkins, and Secretary Sarah Izquerra pose proudly in front of the new mascot.
