Oak Forest HS's Spring Recognition Breakfast
Students were nominated to attend the Spring Student Recognition Breakfast based on a recommendation by a teacher

Oak Forest High School Sophomores Sarrah Master (left) and Madelena Tancredi (right) concentrate on dabbing the ink on the correct square on the intense game of Bengal Bingo that happened last Friday at the Spring Student Recognition Breakfast.
Students were nominated to attend the Spring Student Recognition Breakfast based on a recommendation by a teacher and were treated to a yummy continental breakfast of fruit, packaged donuts and yogurt. A highlight of the Spring Student Recognition Breakfast is when each student reads the certificate created by the teacher who has nominated them to the recognition breakfast. Some students are nominated for being a great teacher’s aide, or doing a great job in a student activity like getting named to the All-Conference team. Other students get nominated because they have improved academically or they have helped other students in their classes.
At the Spring Student Recognition Breakfast, students played Bengal Bingo, called by OFHS’s very own Bingo expert, Principal Sikora. He kept the students’ heads spinning by keeping the letters rolling, assissted by Dean of Students Thormeyer. Everyone’s favorite OFHS DJ, Associate Principal Dan Dunne, provided tunes. This Bingo team kept students on their toes by inventing various games of Bengal Bingo, such as four corners, or diagonal games. If students were lucky and won, they got to emit a Bengal “ROAR” and accept a gift card from various local restaurants such as Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Walmart, AMC, or Fandango.
