Oak Forest HS's Sterkowitz Scores 1,000th Point

Varsity standout celebrated with teammates and coaches

Fans brought down the house at the Varsity Girls’ Basketball game against TF South High School. Why, you ask? Because Oak Forest High School Senior Taylor Sterkowitz dominated the court and scored her 1,000th point. The crowd went wild and Sterkowitz was presented the game ball to commemorate the event. Sterkowitz is only the 12th player in school history to score 1,000 points during her varsity basketball career at Oak Forest High School. Sharing in her accomplishment are her proud coaches and teammates: (Top row, l to r): OFHS Assistant Coach Katie Kohr, Hallee Usterbowski, Gabriella Brent, Kayla Bittner, 1,000 point scorer Taylor Sterkowitz, Christasia Fountain, Alex Torres, Erin Silha, Jiana Barrerra, Sabrina Baxa, OFHS Head Coach Jeff Kelly. (Bottom row, l to r): Beth Lampasona, and Kelsey Kolecki.
