Oak Forest Launches New Promotional Website

Just in time for the spring real estate market, the City of Oak Forest Friday launched LivingOakForest.com, a vibrant, consumer-friendly website geared toward young professionals with families, who value their time, recreation and access to technology.

“The website is fresh and inviting, and offers a real glimpse into what Oak Forest has to offer young families,” said Community Development Director Adam Dotson. “We’ve been working on this campaign for about a year and we’re excited to start using this tool to spread the news about what makes this such a great community to raise a family.”

The website, which is compatible with all devices, invites potential residents to live, work and play in Oak Forest. Visitors will learn about Oak Forest’s best-value neighborhoods, quality schools, wide- variety of outdoor recreational activities, economic vitality, and convenient commute. In essence, visitors will discover that Oak Forest offers a convenient and comfortable lifestyle where everything is close to home—recreation, work, transportation, and shopping.

“We hope that residents and businesses will join us in promoting this website across various social media platforms,” Dotson added. “Current residents are our best ambassadors. We want them to tell potential residents why they love living in town ... what makes it special.”

According to Dotson, the City of Oak Forest will utilize social media to reach more people with ads on Facebook, Google, and other sites. The city also will place transit ads in train stations, including LaSalle Street Station, Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line stations, and the Joliet Metra train station.

“All of our promotional efforts will feed into LivingOakForest.com,” Dotson explained. “This is a new direction for us, but an important one when you consider that most people start their home search online these days.”

The City of Oak Forest is a municipality in Illinois that is home to approximately 28,000 residents and 450 businesses. Oak Forest’s distinctive geographic location, cradled in forest preserves just 20 miles from the heart of the Chicago Loop, provides residents with a range of conveniences that enhance their overall quality of life.
