Man, 30, Killed In Shooting at 167th and Cicero: Oak Forest PD
The Alsip man was shot while in traffic late Saturday afternoon, police said Sunday.
OAK FOREST, IL β One person was killed in a shooting at 167th and Cicero Saturday evening, police said Sunday.
At approximately 4:47 p.m. Saturday, the Oak Forest 911
Communications Center received a report of shots fired at the intersection of 167th Street and Cicero Avenue.
Oak Forest police at the scene found a man with multiple gunshot wounds to the left side of his body, police said Sunday. The man was receiving medical aid from an off-duty medical professional.

Oak Forest Fire paramedics arrived and continued lifesaving measures. The victimβidentified as Latrell Williams, 30, of Alsipβwas taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Williams had stopped in the median lane at the intersection when an unidentified suspect or suspects pulled alongside his vehicle in the left-
turn lane and fired multiple rounds into his vehicle, striking him, police said.

Police said the suspect or suspects then fled east on 167th Street to I-57, and there was no threat to the community. The intersection was closed for several hours and reopened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Oak Forest Police Department Investigations Division, with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, is actively investigating the incident as a homicide.
