Oak Forest Tears Down Former Numero Uno Restaurant

The bulldozer hit the walls of 15426 S. Cicero Avenue Thursday.

OAK FOREST, IL — As part of its efforts to revitalize Cicero Avenue and remove blight properties, the City of Oak Forest on Thursday razed the former Numero Uno restaurant, 15426 S. Cicero Ave.

The city shared footage of the toppling with residents via Facebook. The building has been vacant since roughly 2012, said Communications Director Chrissy Maher.

It's uncertain as of yet what will take the building's place.
