The owners thanked "every family who has entrusted us with the care of their loved ones, to the friends who have supported us throughout the years, and to the Oak Forest community and surrounding areas that have stood by us since the beginning.

"Your trust, kindness, loyalty, and friendship have meant more to us than words can adequately express," they shared. "You have allowed us to be part of your lives, and for that, we will always be grateful."

The owners said they will now step away from the business and "embrace the blessings that God and life still have to offer.

"After so many years of dedication to our work and the families we have served, we look forward to spending more time with our own family, enjoying life’s simple pleasures, making new memories, and appreciating the time God has given us."

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Oak Forest, and thank you to every family who has allowed McKenzie Funeral Home to be part of their story. It has truly been our honor to serve you. We will always cherish the years we have spent together, and we pray that God continues to bless you and your families for many years to come.
