One Man Dead In Shooting On 167th Street In Oak Forest

OAK FOREST, IL — One man is dead after a shooting Wednesday night on a busy Oak Forest street. Oak Forest police said officers responded to a call of a possible robbery at the 4700 block of West 167th Street at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night and found a man at the scene who had been shot.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released because his family has not been notified, police said. No other details have been released.

An investigation is underway by the Oak Forest Police Department and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
