President Obama commits the nation to military action in the Middle East to "degrade and ultimately destroy" ISIL. Where do you stand?

President Obama — who won the presidency in part because of his opposition to the Iraq War — went on TV Wednesday to ready the country for another military campaign in the Middle East after spending much of his time in office trying to extricate the United States from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Bombers will strike ISIL terrorist targets in Iraq and Syria. Support troops will be on the ground. And special forces will find and kill terrorists.

“Our objective is clear: We will degrade, and ultimately destroy, ISIL through a comprehensive and sustained counterterrorism strategy,” the president said.
That means the United States will be in combat operations, along with several allies, through the end of Obama’s time in the White House and likely through the next presidency as well.
