Police K9 Memorial Completed

OAK FOREST, IL - The Police K9 Memorial statue that will be a permanent addition to the Oak Forest City Hall and Oak Forest Police Station property beginning this fall is now complete. Artist Tom Ceska, an Oak Forest resident, completed the statue within the past few days. It is expected to be unveiled at the City Council meeting on Tuesday.

Before the statue makes its way to a permanent home in Oak Forest, it will be one of numerous German Shepherd statues placed at various locations throughout the downtown area of the city of Chicago.

In Oak Forest, the memorial will serve as a memory of recently departed K9 officers Dakota, Orry and Pitt.
