OAK FOREST, IL – The season of giving is upon us, and the Oak Forest Fire Department is looking for generous sponsors throughout the community to help make the holidays of some of their “little buddies” a little brighter.

Launched three years ago, The OFFD’s Project Fire Buddies is a way for Oak Forest firefighters to go the extra mile for children they meet on emergency calls who are battling challenging illnesses like cancer.

This holiday season Project Fire Buddies is looking for families to buy gifts for one of the program’s fire buddies.
