Exercising your Rights by Voting Early, in Person or by Mail and Help Elect the Right Candidate for the Job.

Are you fed up with the gridlock over the lack of state budget? Sick and tired of hearing about public officials who only seem to care about themselves? Empower yourself by exercising your right to vote. Voting is part of the solution to all our federal, state and local municipality problems and you can help elect the right candidate for the job.

Why not start exercising your rights by voting early and elect the right candidate for the job? Early voting starts February 29th till March 14th. and Mail-in absentee voting is already under way in Suburban Cook County. Here are some reasons why you should take advantage of this opportunity.

1. Update your voter information including your name and address
2. Avoid election day lines at your polling place
3. There’s no longer any reason to blame inclement weather on election day for not voting
4. Transportation issues
5. On Vacation or out of Town that day
6. If you have a Driver’s License or your State Id has your current address you get processed faster and more accurately with the new ID scanners at all Suburban Cook County polling places
7. You will be able to vote when the mood strikes you during regular business hours (Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm)
8. Family member could be sick or you have child-care conflicts and they need your care on Election Day
9. Unsure of your polling location? Early voting locations handle all Suburban Cook County polling places
10. If you need voting assistance and you need a family member or election judges to help you
11. Register your 17 year old child who turns 18 by the next general election in the fall (two pieces of ID required one must include their current address)
12. You’re an Election Judge working Election Day
13. You can take as much time as you need to cast your vote
14. This election is just too important for you to leave any chance that you might not be able to vote
15. You don’t need any reason to vote early!

1. Allows you to vote in the privacy of your own home
2. You want to share the experience of voting with your underage children
3. You can request Mail Ballots up to five days before Election Day, Mail Ballots must be Postmarked no later than March 15th
4. It hard to schedule time on Election Day to vote because of physical disabilities
5. On Vacation or on a Business Trip
6. You love the feel of an actual ballot and making your mark on it
7. Easier to research who the candidates are and what referendums are on your ballot
