Retired Teacher Makes a Donation to Bremen High School
Retired teacher gives back to the school and students she loves

Ms. Robin Pomeroy retired from teaching in June 2013. Upon her retirement she was interviewed regarding her years in education. In that interview, she was asked to complete the sentence, “If I’ve learned one thing in life, it’s…”. Her response was, “love what you are doing and be the best you can be.”
At the Bremen High School homecoming assembly, held September 12, Ms. Pomeroy and her family made a donation of a new scoreboard for the main gym. In an interview for this article Bremen Principal Dr. Kibelkis said, “Ms. Pomeroy truly loved her career path. This wonderful donation is an example of her love for students and for Bremen High School. We are so grateful to her.”
Ms. Robin Pomeroy was a P.E./Health Teacher in Bremen High School District 228 for 35 years. Many of those years were spent at Bremen High School. Ms. Pomeroy also coached girls’ basketball, track and volleyball, as well as boys’ tennis. She sponsored junior/senior leaders, the sophomore class, and student council. Pomeroy also served on the Sun-Times All-Area Selection Committee, and received Coach-of-the-Year award at the Rich South Galaxy Tournament.
