Park Forest Man Charged In String Of Sexual Assaults

Authorities say a 30-year-old man was captured after a victim fought back during an attack near a Metra station in Riverdale.

PARK FOREST, IL - A 30-year-old Park Forest man has been accused in three sexual assaults reported in the south suburbs this year. A judge denied bail for DeAndre Wilson last week after he was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping in connection with incidents in April, May and last week, according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.

Prosecutors have alleged Wilson is the man responsible for an April 5 attack in the 14200 block of South School Street in Riverdale, a May 15 sexual assault in the 300 block of Wilshire Street in Park Forest and an incident last Thursday in the 14100 block of South Clark Street in Riverdale in which he allegedly grabbed a woman who was walking to a nearby Metra station by showing a BB gun.

In the most recent alleged attack, the woman fought back and the man was captured by police.

Before the judge denied bail, prosecutors said that in each case Wilson would stalk his victims by following them in a car or on foot as they walked to work or school.
