Oak Forest Avenue To Close For Freedom Pond Construction

TINLEY PARK, IL -- Construction at Freedom Pond in Tinley Park will be the cause for road closures planned along Oak Forest Avenue for a few days beginning on Thursday.

The intersection of Oak Forest and Ridgeland avenue will be shut down for five working days, according to a memo from the village of Tinley Park. Traffic won't be allowed on Oak Forest Avenue in the northeast direction from Ridgeland and local traffic will be all that's permitted in the southwest direction from 167th Street.

The existing detour for northbound Ridgeland Avenue will be the same.

Freedom Pond is a naturalized detention basin in progress at the northeast corner of 175th Street and Ridgeland.
