Services Set For Siblings Killed In Oak Forest Shooting

Funeral arrangements have been set for Briana and Emilio Rodriguez, siblings who were killed in a shooting in Oak Forest Friday.

OAK FOREST, IL β€” Funeral services have been set for two Oak Forest siblings who were fatally shot by their stepfather last week in Oak Forest.

Briana Rodriguez, 22, and Emilio Rodriguez, 20, along with their mother Lupe Gomez, 43, were killed outside their home on Ann Marie Lane Friday. The siblings' father announced their services Tuesday afternoon.

Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 3 from 4:30 to 9 p.m., at St. Pius V Parish, 1919 S. Ashland Ave., in Chicago. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m., also at St. Pius V. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd., in Hillside.

In sharing the visitation information on social media, their father Jorge Rodriguez thanked the community, his family and friends for their support.

The Oak Forest community on Monday evening turned out in full strength to support the families of the victims, and remember their beloved community members.
