3 Killed in Palos Hills Plane Crash

The plane went down in a field.

Three people were killed Sunday night when a small plane crashed in Palos Hills.

The plane, a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron, was bound for Lawrence, Kansas, when it crashed about 10:40 p.m. in the 10100 block of South 86th Court. The plane missed any nearby homes, avoiding injury to anyone on the ground. Authorities credited the pilot’s quick-thinking and steering, My Fox Chicago reports.

Crews responding to the scene found no survivors. A full site investigation was planned for Monday morning.
