OF Soccer Team Shares 'Random Acts Of Kindness'

OAK FOREST, IL — Nearly two dozen teens from the Oak Forest High School's girls soccer team hit Orland Square Mall Sunday, passing Aveda, Hollister and Finish Line to hand out 300 carnations to unsuspecting shoppers in hopes of spreading kindness and cheer.

The move comes as part of International Random Acts of Kindness Day, an awareness day observed February 17 that intends to spread -- you guessed it -- kindness to strangers.

The team handed out the flowers along with notes to shoppers at the mall. They requested only that those who accepted the gifts share another gracious act with someone they didn't know.
