South Holland Man Killed In 'Pure Evil' Intentional Hit And Run
Police are now saying a hit-and-run in South Shore was an intentional act. A 25-year-old South Holland man died in the attack Sunday.
SOUTH HOLLAND, IL β A South Holland man was one of three killed Sunday after being struck by a car in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood.
Donald Huey, 25, was one of four struck by the sedan on South Jeffery Boulevard around 5 a.m., in what Chicago Police are now saying appears to have been an intentional act.
Graphic video of the crash posted to social media shows a group of men in the street before a light-colored sedan strikes them head-on at a high speed, knocking them high in the air and down the street. Four men were struck; three were taken to a nearby hospital, where they later died. The condition of the fourth is not known as of Monday.

βI understand that that video is out there, and itβs pretty horrific,β said Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan during a Monday morning police news conference, as reported by the Tribune. βYou can look at it. It appears to be intentional, just based upon what everybodyβs seen.β
The car used in the attack was later found several blocks away from the scene.

Police said the incident might have stemmed from an argument inside nearby Jeffrey Pub. An individual is seen on surveillance footage leaving the pub, then getting into the car and committing the act. Police are interviewing employees for more information.
Huey had just returned home to South Holland after having potentially secured a job in Los Angeles, California, his grandmother Jewel Perrian told The Tribune.
βI just canβt understand how something like this could happen in Chicago. This is blatant evil," she told the Tribune.
Police are not yet investigating the attack as a hate crime, but "that can change once we get more witnesses and a suspect in. Everything can change based on those statements.β
