St. Damian Teacher Ann Marie Egan Retires After 43 Years
Ann Marie Egan credits the school for getting her through tough times.
OAK FOREST, IL -- A longtime teacher at St. Damian School in Oak Forest is retiring after more than four decades at the school. Ann Marie Egan celebrated her retirement at the school with coworkers on Friday, June 2.
Egan, who has taught at St. Damian for 43 years, credits her long career to "the school always being good to her and getting her through difficult times," according to a news release. She says she chose St. Damian early in her career and has never regretted her decision.
