Special guest speakers for the banquet are former Lockport Township High School baseball coach and Hall-of-Famer Jim Hall and recently retired NFL player and former All-American Eric Steinbach.
More than 80 athletes and their athletic achievements in several sports in the high schools in 22nd Century Media's southwest suburban coverage area will be honored.
The high schools covered include Sandburg, Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way East, Lincoln-Way North, Lincoln-Way West, Lockport Township, Providence Catholic, Tinley Park and Andrew High. Team sports that will be recognized are: football, boys soccer, girls volleyball, boys basketball, girls basketball, baseball, softball, girls soccer and boys volleyball.
Athletes will be honored with a plaque at the banquet.
