Teen Charged With Murder After Man Found Dead In Vehicle: Maywood Police

MAYWOOD, IL — A teen was arrested and charged this week in connection with the killing of a man found dead in a vehicle last month in Maywood, according to police.

Kevaughn M. Mickles, 19, of Chicago, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Xavier Harvey, police said.

The 33-year-old Harvey, who suffered a single gunshot wound, was discovered April 1 in his vehicle at 10th and Lexington avenues, according to police.

Mickles was arrested Tuesday, denied bond Wednesday and remains in the custody of the Cook County Corrections Department, police said.
